Dog walking
The care of your dog is my priority
I walk 3 times a day and walk the same dogs at the same time everyday. The duration of each walk is one hour. Travel time will not cut into your dog walk.(see prices)
A familiar pack enables your dog to explore with confidence, the pack environment and the great outdoors.
He will learn where he stands in the pecking order and enjoy developing naturally amongst the pack. An opportunity few dogs are able to explore to these days.
Regular packs reduces stress amongst the dogs .
My little van travels in relative
silence around Brighton as the dogs stretch out waiting for their walk.
They are all old friends so cope well in the confinement of the van.

A bit About Me
I have been dog walking for myself since 2006, prior to that I was employed as a dog walker for one year.
My other jobs have mainly been me looking after animals or people. 8 years as a support worker in residential and day services. All kinds of horse jobs, racing stud farm, riding for disabled and a trek leader. So mainly active jobs with TLC necessary.
For the last ten years Ami has not been far behind.See Press or ami tube.
In my own time my main interest are in training and psychology for dogs and horses.
I have studied Equine shiatsu, which helped improve my observation and understanding of animals, which are key skills found in a good dog walker.
Outside working hours You will probably find me and Ami running around with Clarence, my wonderful horse. I'm currently learning just about all i can about horse psychology and training with the Parelli program.
This course has helped me think about about the needs of our canine friends in a completely differently way .
What motivates them? what are their desires, needs? how do they interact with each other? how would they coexist naturally? What can I learn from them to be a better leader?
The answers to these questions revels themselves to me day to day and often only to bring more questions.
Leadership
It is a common theory these days that alpha dog makes the best leader. I am interested in passive leadership. I need to be the person your dog wants to be with most among the pack. More than than golfer, bouncy puppy or child eating an ice cream, yes that can be challenging.
Over the years I have learned all sorts of training, technics,(see Ami's tricks)silly games that improve a dog interest in staying close. Which I am happy to share.
While some seem to think this job it's just a walk in the park, I take the care of your dog very seriously.
Many factors contribute to make my walks as safe and stress free as possible.
I'm so proud of the dogs I walk as i feel their behaviour excellent.
As pack animals dogs learn from each other which helps new dogs joining us. They quickly fit in with our relaxing and pleasant ambles.
Most of the dogs I walk have been with me a long time and see each other has a familiar old friends.
